Our History
Much of the history of Grace and Truth Pentecostal has yet to be written. The church was founded by Rev. Christopher Black, in 1989. The original name of the church was Northland Apostolic Tabernacle. Bro. Black continued the work here for 18 years. Under his leadership, they added an educational center to the existing sanctuary and experienced numerical growth. In 2006, Bro. Black returned to his native state of Florida. At that time, Rev. Michael “Ben” Brown, who had been an assistant to Bro. Black for several years, became Pastor. Bro. Brown pastored the church from 2006 to 2009.  He changed the name of the church to Grace and Truth Pentecostal Church and was responsible for remodeling the sanctuary and enhancing the landscaping. Bro. Brown relocated due to his secular job, thus leaving the pastorate of the church. In October of 2009, Rev. Nathan Dycus was elected Pastor. With excitement, he looks forward to fulfilling God’s plan and purpose to see revival in this community.    It is clear that God has guided and directed this church every step of the way. He has shown Himself faithful time and time again. Great things are happening, and we know that the best is yet to come. We believe that the Lord is going to send a mighty revival to the Kansas City Northland and to Grace and Truth!
